NYSEG

New Paragraph

What is NYSEG?

NYSEG stands for the New York State & Electric Gas. This is the company most New York residents use to pay for their electric and gas consumption on a monthly basis. At Elite College Rentals, all of our buildings use NYSEG. As such, prior to move in, you are required to set up NYSEG billing to pay for your unit's electricity and gas. Rest assured; we have created this page to walk you through the ~5-minute process, and if you have any questions, we are always here to help.

Important note: NYSEG puts an "A-" in front of all apartment units. Therefore, if you live in 319 College Ave Apartment 3, your address will be 319 College Ave unit number A-3.

How do I set up NYSEG?

Step 1: Fill out the NYSEG form (click here to download the pdf).

Complete this pdf with your meter number, personal information, and payment information. For the "THIRD PARTY NOTIFICATION SERVICE" section, please put Pola Avramis' information (phone: 607-342-1024; address: your apartment address). Please leave "Meter Reading" and "Date of Meter Reading" blank.

Step 2: Email the NYSEG form to custserv@nyseg.com.

Send this completed pdf to NYSEG so that they can update your apartment's NYSEG account with your information. Alternatively, you can call and provide NYSEG this information over the phone.

Step 3: Call (800.572.1131) 3-5 days later to confirm that you are all set.

Reach out to NYSEG to ensure that your account has been properly set up. This process only takes a few minutes and will allow you to confirm that the aforementioned steps have been completed correctly. Failure to complete this step puts you at risk of late fees.
