Here are step-by-step instructions to set up your payment portal:
1. Create a rent portal account:
- Download the Resident App (Apple or Google Play)
- Click “Sign Up” on the homepage
- Search for “YOUR ADDRESS” (e.g., 319 College Ave, 227 Linden Ave, etc.)
- Enter your email address (that we use to contact you)
- Verify your account with your SMS and email
2. Link a bank account:
- Open the Resident app
- Click the three lines on the upper left-hand corner of the screen
- Tap the "Payments" dropdown menu
- Select "Payment Accounts"
- Press "Add a New Account"
- Follow the instructions on the screen
If you are forced to verify your bank account via the penny-deposit method, here is what will happen:
- The Resident App will require you to input your bank details
- Three to five business days later, you will receive a 'penny deposit' (e.g., $0.17)
- You need to go on the
web version of the payment portal to verify the penny deposit amount
